Mobsters Re-unite!

COME ONE, COME ALL!!

Mobsters aim to reconnect by introducing Thursday Morning Networking Sessions...

The Men of Business have put their heads together to review the Men of Business network and it seems that the programs #1 supporters, the inspiration for and drive of the program, has been somewhat forgotten about. While the last year and a half has been overwhelming, we have acieved an enormous amount with your support; we took on 2 new programs with Helensvale State High School and Benowa State High, trialled an 'all girls' MOB program at Benowa High, introduced 2 new MOB trainers and 10 new mentors to the program, met with John Paul Lanagbroek and Rob Mulhoek to acquire funding for MOB & last but not least, filtering over 700 youth at risk through our program.

Another recent achievement being that the MOB program is becoming a research study under the watchful eye of Dr Collins from the Psychology Department at Southern Cross University, starting this August!

Our biggest goal for the next three quarters of the year is to consolidate the MOB network (MOBsters) and create a weekly 'reconnect' session combining training and breakfast (structurally similar to a MOB session or youth at risk), allowing for old and new members to connect and reconnect.

We expect approximately 20 men to come together to start and for numbers to grow rapidly, open to the public.

MOB starts Term 2 programs next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and is offering an open invite to all MOB Members.

MOB are Paying it Forward

Men of Business is the brainchild of a select group of influential business owners on the Gold Coast who recognized that there are more than 500 teenage boys who fall through the cracks of the system each year on the Gold Coast alone.
Most programs designed to help, have rigid criteria and inflexible hours. The MOB joined forces with Ohana Career Pathways to pay something back by 'paying it forward' to the next generation.
The fundamentals of a balanced lifestyle have been synergized into a highly energetic and interactive mentoring program based on healthy lifestyles and attitudes that define the participant's journey toward manhood.
Dedicated individuals deliver personal training, one on one mentoring and life coaching, with goals and outcomes derived on a case by case basis. The program is designed to fit around education hours and also assists with job placement.
The MOB's goal is to grow this vital program across the Gold Coast region. Like all programs of this type however, it receives only a small percentage of its running costs from Government, and therefore needs your support.
